We Sell Peace of Mind

Protecting the engine
that drives your business.

Your personal auto policy stops at the moment a vehicle goes to work. Commercial auto covers the cars, trucks, and vans your business actually depends on — plus the drivers behind the wheel and the liability that follows them down the road. Daffin is independent, so we compare commercial carriers and build the policy around how your operation really runs.

What We Cover

Every Vehicle on the Payroll.

From a single service truck to a full Gulf Coast fleet — if it works for your business, we can write it.

Delivery Vans

Route vans, cargo vans, and sprinters — covered for liability, physical damage, and the cargo inside.

Box & Delivery Trucks

Higher limits and cargo coverage for the trucks carrying your product to customers across the Panhandle.

Passenger & Sales Vehicles

Company cars used for sales calls, showings, and estimates — where personal policies quietly stop covering you.

Construction & Service Trucks

Work trucks, dumps, and bucket trucks — plus inland marine for the tools and equipment they haul.

Semi-Trucks & Trailers

Tractors, trailers, and long-haul operations — written to meet filing and contract requirements.

Hired & Non-Owned Auto

When employees run errands in their own cars or you rent a vehicle for a job, this is the coverage that responds.

Inside the Policy

Four coverages
doing the real work.

Commercial auto is more than a bigger version of your personal policy. These are the pieces that decide whether a bad day on the road becomes a bad year for the business.

01

Liability

Bodily injury and property damage when your driver is at fault. Commercial limits run far higher than personal auto — and contracts often require it.

02

Physical Damage

Comprehensive and collision on your own vehicles, including hurricane wind, flooding, hail, and falling debris.

03

Medical Payments & Uninsured Motorist

Florida ranks among the worst states for uninsured drivers. UM is what protects your people when the other driver has nothing.

04

Hired & Non-Owned Auto

Covers vehicles you rent, borrow, or don't own but still send down the road on company business. The gap most owners never see coming.

Commercial Auto Questions

What Florida Owners
Need to Know

The questions we get most from business owners across Bay and Gulf County.

If the vehicle is titled to the business, carries company signage, hauls tools or product, or is driven by employees, your personal policy can deny the claim. A fleet of one still needs a commercial policy — and it's often less expensive than owners expect.
Occasional commuting is usually fine. Regular business use — deliveries, service calls, hauling equipment, transporting clients — is typically excluded. The exclusion doesn't surface until you file a claim, which is the worst possible time to find it.
Florida requires commercial vehicles to carry minimum liability protection, with higher thresholds for larger trucks and for-hire operations. Contracts, lenders, and municipalities frequently require more than the state minimum. We check what applies to your operation before you sign anything.
It covers vehicles your business uses but doesn't own — rentals for a job, or an employee running to the supplier in their own car. Without it, a crash in an employee's personal vehicle on company time can land directly on the business.
Not by itself. Physical damage covers the vehicle; tools, equipment, and materials inside need inland marine or a contractor's equipment policy. We write both, so nothing falls between the two.
Listed drivers operating a covered vehicle in the course of business are covered under your liability limits. Driver records affect your rate, so we review the roster with you and flag anything that could cause a problem at renewal.
Comprehensive coverage handles wind, hail, falling debris, and flood damage to vehicles — a real consideration when your trucks sit in a Gulf Coast lot during storm season. We recommend it on every commercial vehicle.
Gladly. Send us your current declarations page and we'll tell you plainly where the limits are thin, what's excluded, and whether the price is competitive — even if the answer is that you should stay where you are.

"One of our guys had a wreck in his own truck on a job run. Daffin had already put non-owned coverage on us. That call could have ended the company."
